English: Four-bank keyboard for Japanese katakana typewriters. Burnham Coos Stickney at the Underwood Typewriter Company designed this keyboard in 1923 for Japanese businessman Yoshitaro Yamashita. The JIS X 6002:1980 keyboard layout for computers was an offspring of it.
